Export and Import form

Use these steps to move a form’s configuration between shops or back up/restore a form.

Export a form

  • Go to App admin > Forms → click a form → Settings.

  • Click the secondary action “Export the form”.

  • A file like your-form-slug-form-export-YYYY-MM-DD.json will download.

Import a form

  • Go to Forms.

  • Click New → Import form.

  • Select the exported .json file and click Import.

  • On success, you’ll see a confirmation and the Forms list will refresh. Errors will be shown in the modal.

Notes and limitations

  • Import will validate the file and either create/update the form or show an error.

  • If the target shop doesn’t have matching integrations (e.g., missing Klaviyo/Mailchimp setup), import may succeed with warnings or fail; set up integrations first and retry.

  • Export files are JSON text and generally small; keep them safe if they contain business-sensitive configuration.

Troubleshooting

  • “Authorization” errors: refresh and try again (your session may have expired).

  • “Invalid file” errors: ensure you selected a .json file generated by this app’s Export feature.

  • Integration errors: configure required integrations in App Settings and retry.

  • If issues persist, contact support with the exact error message.
